This morning we headed off to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace.   It was a bit slow happening but was worth the wait.  Once again, Kyan entertained the waiting crowds.  It was another lovely sunny day – where is that terrible London weather we had heard about.

Our next mission was to get a cab to see the crown jewels at the Tower of London.  This was a fascinating experience, the castle was amazing and the highlight of the jewels was a 530 carat diamond called the Star of Africa.

We had to post a heap of stuff home to make room for some shopping!!!!!!  Colene and Karina did some shopping in Old Bond street and at least this shop catered for the men with a bar.  We left after a couple of beers and lighter wallets.

Colene and Michael took Kyan home while Karina and Andrew went out for dinner and then to see Thriller.

We will be packing up tonight for the move to Paris in the morning.

Yesterday we headed off  for the famous shopping experience, Harrods. Colene and Karina were excited and Michael, Andrew and Kyan were also quite impressed. Harrods lived up to its reputation. It's the biggest shop we have ever seen.

After a number of hours of looking, looking, looking we all decided to retreat to the safe haven of the famous Harrod's Tea room. The boys loved the menu item... Harrod's Lager and it wasn't long before Kyan had the Waitress totally enthralled.

We eventually ventured out into the street where it seemed like a large Monopoly board.

In the afternoon Andrew, Karina and Kyan went back to the unit and Michael and Colene made there way to the West End to see Michael Jackson's Thriller. Had a lovely Italian meal at a restaurant in Soho, which was only 100mtrs from the theatre.

Thriller was great. The only down side to the night was when Michael and Colene took a wrong turn when they came out of the theatre and ended up spending an  hour trying to find the right underground station. No problem as the streets were still very busy even at 11pm at night.

Wednesday we are off to Buckingham Palace to see changing of the guard and probably more shopping,   Andrew and Karina are off to Thriller tonight and Mimi and Pa are looking after Kyan.
