Our Cultural experience

Today we visited the Academia and the Uffizi Galleries.  Luckily, we had already booked our entry via the hotel which meant we did not have to queue up in the very long queues.
The Academia was first at 10am. In comparing the Academia and the Louve, the Academia is very Italian and represents all the major Italian sculptures and painters, truly amazing. The sculpture of David is very tall, close to 3mtrs. Italian men think that he truly doesn’t represent the masculine figure.  At the end of the tour Colene thought that she would take a piece of Italian art history back to Australia and so she bought a tea towel.
After the Academia we thought that we would take a short cut to the Uffizi Gallery...bad idea. 1 hour later and probably many kms, we were still trying to find it. We eventually entered the Uffizi Gallery and were very impressed with the art works. The rest of the day was spent meandering around the streets of Florence.
We ended the day back at the hotel, where we meet a lovely couple from Carolina USA. The night ended at 9:30pm as we have to get up early once again and catch an 8:15 am train to Naples.
Ciao
Is David a true representation of a man, some say yes some say no...

The queue for the Academia, for those who haven't booked..
Buses just fit in the streets...don't stand too close to the edge.

 Ponte Vecchio
How can you take these policemen seriously, however they do have handguns.
