Paris; where do we start? How would we explain Paris to someone who has never been there?
If you think of Melbourne, then think of the most beautiful building in Melbourne... Melbourne Town Hall, Werribee Mansion ...maybe..think of the most beautiful street .. Collins Street????

We started at Notre Dame Cathedral ( 5 minutes walk  from our apartment).  We thought the Wells Cathedral in Bath was big and beautiful, and it took 400 years to build.  Notre Dame is bigger and more impressive and it only took 200 years to build, must have been the weather.

From Notre Dame we jumped on the Hop on Hop Off bus for an hour or so.  Every minute of the bus trip, every side street we looked down and every major building we saw made the Melbourne Town Hall/ Werribe mansion and Collins St look  small and insignificant .

The massive size of the monuments and squares is totally over whelming.

We hopped off the bus at Trocodero, which overlooks the Eiffel Tower, absolutely magic.  We walked down to the Eiffel tower and saw the biggest water fountain ever. Then hopped onto a boat and had a lovely 1 hour cruise tour along the Seine River.  We later took the bus  back to Notre Dame.

The word WOW is just not enough.

What are the odds?...Yesterday while travelling to our unit from the train station.... in a taxi...driving  through the streets of Paris we saw Andrew and Sarah, Karina and Andrews friends from the wedding.

Tonight Mimi and Papa are babysitting and Karina and Andrew are off to dinner with Sarah and Andrew.

The weather today was once again fantastic – sun shining and not a cloud in the sky.
